Yes it is that time of the year again, and we are back with vigour.

With lots of new faces on the beach and the promise on some good spring summer weather.

Already we have seen a few great weekends of some good volleyball being played.

other things planned for this year are:

Week day evening training: (to start early May 2008)

Tuesdays - Womens Sessions (From 6pm)
Wednesdays - Partner Training (From 6pm)
Thursdays - Mens training (From 6pm)

Saturday - Courts being set-up from 11am
Sunday - Courts being set-up from as early as 8am

I also hope to be running the Barry Island Beach Volleyball Championships again this year along side a Beach Football competition and Foot Volly competition in early September, so note your interests and watch this space.

And not forgetting that we have been asked to host the Urban Beach Volleyball tour again in Cardiff Bay.

Friday 4th August 2006 - Junior Championships

Saturday 5th August and Sunday 6th August
for the Bary Island Beach Volleyball Championships.

One of the UK's TOP Beach Volleyball Coaches "Denise Austin" will be at Barry Island on Thursday 29th June to run a training session from 6pm til Dusk.

Over the next week or so we will be testing out the new WEBCAM system for this site.

We are hoping to setup a Webcam looking over the promenade and another looking onto the beach where we setup a Volleyball court.

People will be able to login to the website and look to see if anyone is playing Volleyball LIVE....

So watch this space......


NB: The cam is taken in on a daily basis at night and the images you are seeing are of the inside of OShea's Cafe.

All are welcome.

Due to the sucess of the Easter Bank Holiday event we have decided to run yet another one day event.

This will take place on the 1st of May Bank Holiday.

It will consist of a pairs tournament starting at 11am Prompt.

There will be 3 divisions:
Beginners
Middle
Advanced

Any pair will do Men, Women or Mixed.

For members its free for non members entry is £3.50.

Prizes will consist of excess donations from last year.

Easter Volleyball will be taking place this weekend as Follows:

Sat 15th April - anyone who wants to play just turn up.

Sun 16th April - 11am Training til 1pm.

Monday 11am will be a King & Queen tournament, with T-Shirts and other prizes.
